symbols, the foundation founded in 2005 that deals with promoting the qualities of our country, can count on a new and prestigious membership, that of National Hunting and Nature Committee (CNCN). The non-profit organization, which has always been committed to culture and responsible and sustainable hunting practice has decided to take this step in the light of its role in another foundation, UNA (Man, Nature and Environment), confirming the importance assigned to the protection and management of nature and the safeguarding of biodiversity. Furthermore, the Committee has for some time launched an innovative program which it envisages initiatives and collaborations of this type.
Secondo Nicholas Perrotti, president of the CNCN and of the UNA Foundation, sustainable development is a great bet on the future, therefore it is necessary to focus on the talent of the younger generations and on partnerships with the best energy, without forgetting the innovation of the public spirit, the vocations of the territories and the virtuous conditions for the activity. The participation in Symbola was also motivated by this strongly planning vision, under the banner of the enhancement of Made in Italy: and knowledge and protection of the environment.
Fabio Renzi, secretary general of the foundation, wanted to underline how the commitment of the National Hunting and Nature Committee in the coordinated and integrated program is a useful and at the service of the environment, biodiversity and territories, especially taking into account the collaborations and synergies between subjects who may also be distant from each other. The collaboration with Symbola adds to a very long list.
For example, the "Wild and Good" project, launched together with the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo (Cuneo) and promoted by Slow Food: the initiative is aimed at enhancing the nutritional properties of game in the best possible way, favoring the best environmental balance that can be obtained compared to traditional meats of breeding. No less important it is "Together for the Marsican bear", a project conceived and started with Federparchi and aimed at defending this animal by contrasting illegality and poaching, correctly managing the fauna in the areas adjacent to the parks.
Equally interesting is the partnership with Ispra (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research), Legambiente, Federcaccia, Arcicaccia and AnuuMigratoristi, a synergy that has made it possible to create "Identity card of wild ungulates", or a census of wildlife in Italy. Last but not least is the project started with theObservatory on Crime in Agriculture and on the Agri-food System (promoted by Coldiretti), which favors territorial agriculture, enhances biodiversity and the control of wildlife.
