"Today I am present at the assembly ofATC Bergamo plain to exhibit past and future projects and share them with members. In the Lombardy Region, in the last round of simplification and legal revision, with his friend councilor Floriano Massardi once again this year we have brought forward a series of amendments aimed at simplifying hunting activities. Of particular interest to the ATC Bergamo Plain are the provisions concerning the transfer to those who voluntarily lend themselves to the control of wild boar and agreements with others at ATC for hunting management.
The question of rings is of interest to migratory hunters: both on mobility and on material, not just ferrous but also plastic. In addition, a series of amendments was approved that simplifies the bureaucracy of hunters: renewal of fixed positions with a 1-page form and no more 15 pages; medical certificate must be presented today on the day of the exam. As for the European Union front, unfortunately, we are not seeing encouraging results, we need to put forward proposals for the revision of Habitat and wild birds guidelines. Just as the battle over the use of lead still constitutes a sword of Damocles that hangs over the hunting world. As for my bills on the table of the Region, there is the one on the management of nutria, with the aim of contain this species by attributing greater power to the mayors.
The role of ATCs is and will remain fundamental and the action of wildlife operators should become more agile since they will speak directly with the municipalities. The best result would be to be able to allocate regional funds from rural development plans to land reclamation consortia and to the ATCs themselves, so that they implement measures to restore and prevent the damage caused by this species. Finally, I have the goal of creating a sort of control room for ATCs and CAs to provide all the advice from the competent regional directorates general to the management committees of the areas and districts, starting from the practices related to administrative management or to the planning of wildlife management. " He declares it Barbara Mazzali, regional councilor of the Brothers of Italy, present at the assembly of the Bergamo Plain ATC.
