Friends of Scolopax has published the latest updates related to his project overland 2020 which directly involves woodcocks. The Calvari specimen, captured in the province of Genoa last 21th December, has begun the migratory journey that will lead him to his reproductive range, a very important news e emphasized with emphasis by the association itself.
The first stage of about 500 kilometers brought this woodcock to Slovenian territory, to complete the first stop over. Good luck to Calvari is a must. A few days earlier, however, the Isernia woodcock (captured in Molise as its name suggests) had taken off definitely pointing north. The technical stop always took place in the Balkans, to be precise in the small island Unije (in the northern part of Croatia).
