Poaching and surroundings: Reggio Calabria, the Carabinieri find buried some weapons stolen from hunters; a man arrested and illegally detained rifles seized.
In recent days, in the hilly area of Reggio Calabria, an extraordinary intervention by the Carabinieri was carried out aimed at combating the phenomenon of robberies against hunters and home thefts. During the checks carried out on the territory, the Carabinieri found a large number of weapons and related ammunition carefully buried under about 30cm of ground; the rifles had been specially wrapped in casings prepared with particular care in order to protect them from the elements while the freshmen of the same had already been abraded. In the same fund, the Carabinieri found a beretta cal. 9 semiautomatic pistol with abraded serial number, two magazines and more than one hundred cartridges of the same caliber preserved in a jar. The material found was found in the availability of a man with a history of poaching; therefore considering what was found, the man was arrested by the Carabinieri to answer for the crimes of receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of clandestine weapons and ammunition.
The father of the arrested man was also denounced in a state of freedom for the same crimes attributed to his son as well as for the unauthorized detention of some reducing rods. All the weapons and ammunition found, including those legally held by the two characters, were seized.
