A story that lasted more than three months. The Public Prosecutor upheld the appeal of a 36-year-old hunter from Posina, in the province of Vicenza, from which ten guns had been seized last October. The man had been denounced on the loose by the Carabinieri, intervened following a quarrel between the same hunter and three other people. The 36-year-old had gone hunting with a cousin, only to be lured by loud music that he was scaring the birds. As a result, he had come out of an owned hut to check what had happened, finding himself in front of a man and two women.
The three were against hunting and the discussion had been inevitable, with the opponents who had brought in the Carabinieri. The hunter had two rifles with him, both open and unloaded and he always made it clear that he had never threatened anyone: the military had managed to calm the parties, but two weeks later there was a complaint by the three, the Which they claimed they had been threatened and found the stereo wires disconnected.
The seizure of weapons had been inevitable, but the appeal proved the 36-year-old right. The rifles were returned as the investigation spoke of a simple threat and not aggravated by weapons, furthermore the anti-huntsmen had not complained about anything when the Carabinieri arrived. The hunter has now in turn denounced the three for disturbance of hunting activity, as required by the new law.
