Massimo Buconi, national vice president of Hunting Federation, decided to reply to the note issued by theENPA extension (National Environmental Protection Agency) regarding the roe deer hunting in the Umbrian territory. The environmental association has been accused of considering itself the custodian of its own truths about conservation of fauna and biodiversity. In addition, the body has hinted that the Umbria Region has "given" the authorizations to hunters for low-level interests.
uconi recalled how it is necessary to intervene rather than wait passively the consequences of the unfolding of events. Hunting is practiced by enthusiasts, but always within the framework of rules and purposes related to sustainability, therefore also for a general interest. The collection of the roe deer must respect very strict rules, as well as preliminary censuses, accurate population analyzes, conservation plans to improve the status of the wild population, and more.
Science itself has revealed how it is absolutely useful manage and control male, female and young specimens, consequently the ENPA should not rely on suggestion and emotions, it would be more appropriate to focus on information. The last clarification for environmentalists is peremptory: in this period the hunting female roe deer and young it is not allowed in Umbria, which is why the controversy has no reason to exist.
