Appeal partially accepted
The Marche TAR partially accepted the precautionary request on Hunting Calendar. The judges rejected eleven of the fourteen points contested by the appellant associations, only three of these were accepted and they are the following:
• The closing date of the woodcock hunt is set for January 10th, contrary to what was requested by the Marche Region for January 20th as well as in contrast with what is recommended by ISPRA for December 31st
• The closing date of the turdid hunt is set for January 10th contrary to what was requested by the Marche Region for January 20th
• One of two additional hunting days of your choice is granted for the period 1 October to 30 November 2023
A hint of pessimism
We feel saddened by the three points that were not accepted, especially for the additional day, as in our opinion we did not fully focus on what we believe to be sufficient reasons to be able to obtain it.
A path of reformulation
We will therefore reserve the right to undertake a reformulation process in a very short time at least on this point which we consider to be of substantial importance. The offices in charge, after having consulted with the hunting associations already this afternoon, are already working to find the best solution in relation to rapid action times.
