Il Regional Fauna Committee of Sardinia met yesterday, Thursday 19 July 2018, and definitively approved the hunting calendar on the 2018-2019 season. The meeting took place at the Department of Environmental Defense: the director general Paola Zinzula and the head of cabinet, Franco Corosu were present. What was the specific decision? The full text is not yet available, but some really interesting rumors are leaking.
After the tribulations of the last season, it seems that the Regional Council has opted for the reintroduction of the hunting hare and Sardinian partridge, more precisely two half days. The 2017-2018 season was instead influenced by the inapplicable decision of the Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia which prohibited the collection of the two species due to the absence of a monitoring without updates. We did not just talk about the calendar.
A favorable opinion was issued for the coypu control plans presented by the Metropolitan City of Cagliari. In addition, the green light has also arrived for the integration of crow control plan as regards the province of Nuoro and the Ogliastra area. Last but not least choice was the presentation of the plan for register hares and island partridges, with the Regional Council which will now have to approve the text.
