The Committee's choices
The Regional Faunistic Committee of Sardinia last September 26th decided to open a further day for the hare (1 head per day up to a maximum of 3 per season), and for the partridge (1 head per day up to a maximum of 4 per season) for Sunday 8 October 2023. From 1 October it will also be possible to hunt quail, for which a specific Decree will be issued following the intervention of the Tar.
Natura 2000 network
We remind you that the noble sedentary species can also be hunted in the Natura 2000 network area starting from 1 October. The hunting calendar in these areas includes the hunting of sedentary noble in self-managed areas with a specific collection plan. Given that the decree will not be modified on this point, we therefore confirm that hunting will only be possible in self-managed companies with a withdrawal plan.
The Region's commitments
Finally, we would like to remind you that from Thursday 5 October hunting will be open for all the following Thursdays, for the species included in the hunting calendar, with the exception of resident noble game. Federcaccia Sardegna thanks councilor Porcu and his staff for having kept the commitments made following the positive outcome of the censuses. With the recommendation for all hunters to continue to communicate their kills (source: FIDC).
