The regional councilor of Veneto Sergio Berlato is back to talk about the law on hunting disorder after the decision made by Gentiloni government. As pointed out by Berlato, the executive (defined a "Renzi Bis") challenged the text which provides for fines for who intentionally disturbs hunting and fishing at the Constitutional Court. The councilor is convinced that it is a mistake to think that Veneto cannot impose these administrative sanctions, also because the appeal implies a state prerogative that there shouldn't be.
Before the approval of the other law which introduced the same type of fines for poachers who shoot too close to houses (less than 100 meters to be precise), we will have to wait for the ruling of the Constitutional Court to understand in which direction to move.
In case the government is right, then there can be no approval of the second law. It should however be remembered, as reiterated by Berlato, that pending the ruling of the judges, the regional law on hunting disorder will continue to remain in force and produce their own effects.
