THEUSL Umbria 1 communicated to the Environment Office of Municipality of Fyvie (province of Perugia) the rules to follow for the 2017-2018 hunting season. In particular, the note warns hunters not to consume the wild boar meat that is slaughtered, captured and killed in the regional territory for family use, without forgetting the prohibition of sale and marketing before the control for the search for trichinella.
The sample of material to research the pathology must be delivered to the Veterinary Service of the AUSL of the territory in which the joke took place. This is the Corata (with this term we mean the tongue, heart, lungs, diaphragm and liver of the animal), with the carcass that must be kept intact. All the material to be examined must be presented to Municipal slaughterhouse of Gualdo Tadino on Mondays and Fridays, always from 8:30 to 10.
In the event of killing on Saturday and Sunday, the wild boar teams will have the possibility to activate the veterinarians of the USL in ready availability on hunting days. Furthermore, the registered teams will have the task of delivering the certification of payment of the flat-rate fee to the Veterinary Service in which the material to be examined is brought.
