Wednesday 24 October, in Loc. Alberi, in the municipality of Montaione (province of Florence), was shot down a female wild boar. The demolition was carried out near an inhabited center and a road belonging to the ordinary road system, in disregard of any elementary safety and legal regulations, as well as common sense and correct hunting ethics. Among our tasks, like Hunting Associations, the education of hunters and the supervision of compliance with the rules are included.
This is why we do not want and cannot let it go on this poaching episode that in addition to environmental damage, it could have had far more serious consequences for public safety. For this reason, the municipal sections of Montaione di Arci Caccia and Federcaccia they find themselves united in condemning this deplorable act, reserving the right to act towards those responsible to protect the good name of the hunters.
As representatives of hunters, we consider it basic compliance with the rules governing hunting, whether they are dictated by the legislator or by the ethics inherent in the hunting activity. Only in this way will we be able to defend the integrity of a category that carries out a legitimate activity e wishes to continue to practice it in compliance with the law, ensuring your own safety and that of others. For this we need an increase in vigilance, which we are committed to putting in place as associations and we strongly request the bodies in charge.
