In the Official Bulletin of the The Tuscan Regional Authority Regional Law 56 has just been published, the one concerning the restoration of old perimeter of the Park of the Apuan Alps. In detail, the provision concerns three municipalities in the province of Lucca, namely Pescaglia, Borgo a Mozzano e Piazza al Serchio. The management council of the natural area approved the plan in November 2016, then on 30 June the start of the variant procedure after the lack of participation in the approval by the Municipality of Pescaglia.
The latter is temporarily excluded from the effects produced by the excerpt plan, at least until a specific variant is approved that takes into account your interests. The park areas delimited by the expanding excerpt plan they are excluded from the territory of the park itself and classified as contiguous. For Borgo a Mozzano and Piazza al Serchio, then, the original perimeter of the contiguous area was restored.
Just last June the Municipality of Borgo a Mozzano had sided with that of Pescaglia to request the modification of the new boundaries of the park. The resolution of 2010, when the two current mayors were not in office, entered into force now, changing the structure of our territories and the new distribution of protected areas.
