Attended assembly on the evening of 2 September, at the la Botte club in San Casciano Val di Pesa, organized by Confederation of Tuscan Hunters, which was also attended by the Mayors of the Florentine Chianti who expressed their closeness and their esteem towards a world, that of hunters, which has always been a point of reference for Chianti institutions when dealing with issues related to land management and wildlife.
Lorenzo Calamandrei, President of the Federcaccia di San Casciano opened the evening, then leaving the floor to speeches by Simone Tofani, Matteo De Chiara, Mario Gabbrielli and Silvano Marchi, managers with different roles, of the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters who highlighted, among other things, the problems that arose in the hours before the pre-opening and the great effort that the Confederation together with the institutions has put in place, in the deafening silence of the other hunting associations, to guarantee the whole family of hunters the right to exercise their passion, after the suspension of the Tuscan Tar relating to the appeal made by some environmental associations against the resolution of the Tuscany Region of 25 August and how this effort was repaid with the resolution of 31 August which allowed to carry out the pre-opening in Tortora and Storno.
“We belong to a large family - Simone Tofani began in his speech - that of hunters, but we also belong to a slightly smaller family, which is the confederation of hunters. The dream and our commitment is that hunters and the world of associations that represent it become one big family". "Hunters are the first ecologists and a single reality that represents them is increasingly urgent" Matteo di Chiara later stated in his speech, a concept also taken up by those who spoke later. Also present were the candidates for the Tuscan Regional Council Massimiliano Pescini, Giacomo Trentanovi and Massimo Fabbri who spoke highlighting the decisive role of hunters in the management of an important territory like that of the college in which they are candidates. Simone Tofani concluded the evening by recalling how the third Sunday in September, which has always been a very important date for the coming people, this year will be even more important because the events that await us they are two: general opening precisely and the electoral commitment for the Government of our Region.
