The Department of Agriculture of the Valle d'Aosta received a specific request from the regional club of Legambiente and from Italian Pro Natura Federation. The two environmental associations would like the 125 thousand euros of administration surplus of the Hunting Committee are destined for Mont Avic Natural Park. The green area of Valle d'Aosta is suffering and according to the two acronyms this solution could partially solve the problem.
According to Legambiente and Pro Natura, the national economic crisis has also made itself felt strongly in Valle d'Aosta, where it is increasingly complicated manage protected areas. Among other things, the same park has been forced to considerably reduce its scientific activities that are used to study and deepen local biodiversity.
In the letter sent to the regional councilor it is emphasized how the hunting activity weighs on the budget and therefore on the community, accordingly, funds should be reviewed and distributed differently. The explicit request is to abolish the 40% rebate of the regional concession fee: certainly the reply of the Valle d'Aosta hunting associations will not be long in making itself heard.
