Just yesterday, Saturday 21 October 2017, the "Game weekend" a teglio, in the province of Sondrio. The Lombard location is also known and appreciated as gastronomic capital of Valtellina and this event, scheduled until the next 5th November, is part of an even bigger initiative, "Autumn Flavors". For three weekends in a row the tellini restaurants will offer really interesting menus.
In addition to the traditional pizzoccheri, rigorously handmade and prepared following the ancient original recipe of the Accademia del Pizzocchero, there will be dishes of the local tradition. Moreover, after this period of game, the restaurants of Teglio will propose the last themed menu for another three weekends. But what specifically can foodies enjoy? The game menu includes a hunter's platter with rye croutons in butter and lukewarm game on a bed of soncino with autumnal scent. The first will be the aforementioned pizzoccheri and pappardelle with minced game.
We will continue with gods delicately jugged venison bites with typical polenta nests, all accompanied by Rosso di Valtellina DOC, in addition to coffee and sorbet.
