Almost two months away from the splendid initiative that took place in Scarperia, A new "Festival of wild boar and tortello" returns to animate Tuscany. This time it will be up to Pelago, a city in the province of Florence that is part of the Valdarno Valdisieve Municipal Union (what was once known as the Comunità Montana Montagna Fiorentina). The food and wine event we are talking about has come to his nineteenth year of life and will take place over the course of six days, from 6 to 8 May and from 13 to 15 May.
The menu that will be proposed to those who participate is the typical one. Wanting to be even more precise, typical dishes of Mugello will be made available, that is to say tortelli, pappardelle, wild boar with sauce, the inevitable polenta and tasty grilled meat. The organization was taken care of by "Il Passatore" hunting team di Pelago together with the local ARCI Club.
For almost two decades this festival has been able to boast a homemade cuisine that has conquered more and more public, without forgetting theexcellent relationship between quality and price: the products are all genuine and of quality. Last year they were also proposed stewed wild boar, wild boar with mushroom sauce and, to conclude on a sweet note, the donuts. The food stands will be open every evening for dinner from 19 pm, while on two Sundays they will also be open for lunch (starting from 12).
