There were a lot of expectations for the conference "The prospects for hunting in Veneto" which was held last 30th April at Municipal Theater of Vicenza. The success was defined as "exciting" by the organizers, CONFAVE e Venetian Hunters Association, despite the fact that many hunters did not have the opportunity to enter and participate for safety reasons (the available places sold out very quickly).
Sergio Berlato, councilor of the Veneto Region and president of the Permanent Commission, was one of the most anticipated guests, in addition to Robert Ciambetti, president of the Veneto Regional Council, e Joseph Pan, regional councilor for hunting. The number one of the Venetian hunters, Maria Cristina Caretta, had the task of starting the conference and did so by illustrating the main ones problems of the local hunting world, proposing at the same time concrete solutions.
In this case the hunter was spoken of as one "Social, environmental and economic resource for the whole community". Berlato, much applauded, referred to the situation of the hunting in Veneto, while Ciambetti said he was willing to find the best solutions. As for Pan, then, the commissioner shared all the solutions suggested by the Venetian hunters, without forgetting the contribution of Vincenzo Forte, president of the Foundation for Rural Culture. The conference closed at 18 pm with applause and the waving of flags, for what seemed an important breath of fresh air and hope for the category.
