There were 327, 276 for the Olympic pit and 51 for skeet, the young people who, on the weekend of 12 and 13 June, crowded the platforms of the Trap Concaverde in Lonato del Garda (BS), for the national Criterium of the youth sector skeet shooting, now in its 32nd edition. Saturday was dedicated to training and the traditional parade of the Regions, this year in reduced form due to the pandemic still in progress, in the presence of the president of FITAV Luciano Rossi and the various regional delegates. On Sunday, on the other hand, the "best youth" of national skeet shooting competed with great enthusiasm and dexterity, scoring extremely high scores.
Among the Juniors of the Olympic pit, it was the Umbrian Elia Di Famiano (73 + 1/75) who conquered the top of the podium, at the end of the play-off against the Lombard Marco Mangolini (73 + 0/75), while, only one target from the leading duo, Riccardo Mirabile from Lazio (72/75) placed himself on the third step of the podium. Among the students, it was another young Umbrian athlete, Riccardo Donati (71/75), who took possession of the gold medal, ahead of the Friulians Demetrio Pupeschi (70/75) and Diego Martelli (69/75). Absolute state of grace, among the Young Hope, for the best shooters in competition, in order: the Lombard Pietro Bellusci (71/75), Filippo Di Bucchianico from Abruzzo (70/75) and the Umbrian Andrea Cito (69 + 1/75), third at the end of the play-off against the Sicilian Giuseppe Fiume (69 + 0/75). In the Italian Team Cup, dedicated to the memory of Italo Mastrangelo, the invincible young army of CAS Concaverde (Mangolini, Baresi, Sertori and Guidi), with 260/300, won by measure over the TAV Conselice team (Battisti, Baesi, Venturini and Gori), who finished with 259/300, while the young bishops of the TAV San Fruttuoso (Lombardi, Ferraro, Artioli and Degli Antoni) occupied the third step of the podium, with 248/300.
Moving on to the other half of the sky, among the female Juniors, it was once again the Emilian Gaia Ragazzini (72/75) who triumphed, while the Calabrian Valentina Panza (69 + 1/75), after the play-off against the Venetian Sofia Littamè (69 + 0/75), wore the silver medal around her neck. Another Emilian, Sofia Gori (66/75), stood out among the students, preceding the Ligurian Laura Morsia (63 + 1/75) and Angelica Piras (63 + 0/75). In the Esordienti qualification, on the other hand, the Lombard Ambra Parodi (57/75), got the better of Simona Tonni (53/75), also from Lombardy, and the Emilian Greta Sforzi (41/75). In the Italian Cup the victory smiled at the formation of CAS Concaverde (Labemano, Borlini, Tonni and Antonelli), which achieved the score of 205/300. Finally, the winners of the Vittorio Prestini Memorial, a trophy reserved for Beginners, were Manuel Beatini and Ambra Parodi.
Moving on to the discipline of Skeet, among the male Juniors, the Lazio Gianmarco Tuzi (73/75) and Francesco Bernardini (72/75) respectively placed first and second, ahead of the Tuscan Cristian Ghilli, third with 71/75. Among the Juniors, it was the Lazio Giada Longhi (65/75) who finished at the top of the ranking, while the Tuscan Sara Bongini (63 + 6/75) and the Lazio Eleonora Ruta (63 + 5/75), after a long playoffs, they finished in second and third place respectively. Among the students, the Lombard Antonio La Volpe (72 + 2/75), at the end of the shoot-off, scored a brilliant victory against the Umbrian Stefano Carbone (72 + 0/75), while another Lombard, Antonio Brunetti (69/75), he finished in third place. The Lazio Valerio De Nicola (62/75), was the best of the Beginners, followed by the Friulian Matteo Bragalli (60 + 3/75) and Domenico Diana (60 + 2/75).
In the team comparison, with 216/225, the team made up of Tuzi, Bernardini and Ghilli imposed itself on the formation of the Circolo Ilva (Carbone, Basta and Lippolis), second with 200/225, while to get on the third step of the podium, with 199/225, it was the Tav Montecatini team (Micheli, Maulicino, Pugi). Among the girls, the trio Bongini, Ruta, Bandini won the Cup with 185/225. Finally, as regards the Trophy dedicated to the memory of Vittorio Prestini, the prize was awarded to Domenico Diana.
