Jesi will be able to count on a new dog training area thanks to the commitment of the local section of the Italian Federation of Hunting and the precious contribution of the provincial section. In this ZAC of the city in the province of Ancona it will be possible to train pointing dogs, hunting dogs and also hounds specializing in natural game.
Some members of the hunting association have exploited their deep knowledge of the territory to create a project that is unique in its kind. In fact, we are talking about a particular area where the hunting ban is in effect, but at the same time it makes it possible to train dogs for hunting purposes. The involvement of the agricultural sector was equally crucial in this case.
The ZAC is located in the low hill between the municipalities of Jesi, Santa Maria Nuova and Polverigi, a fifteen minute drive from Ancona. The surface covers 750 hectares and training will be made possible from 15 July to 31 March on pheasants, partridges and hares. They can be carried out very important competitions and dog trials and indeed the official inauguration saw the participation of 50 dogs from all over central Italy.
