THENational Free Hunting Association and WWF are the two entities involved in a dispute that has lasted for some time and has to do with the fines imposed on Umbrian hunters. The topic has been talked about again in these days: the sanctions would have been raised by guards without theauthorization of the Province. The League has asked the Region to compensate the harassed subjects.
According to reports from the regional press, the most active environmental guard was able to impose 78 fines a week, with the highest bill being paid for by an association that manages a dog training area (13 thousand euros to be precise). The sums of money to be returned, therefore, are decidedly substantial, with the payments requested from the Umbria Region and the Provinces of Perugia and Terni.
ANLC has invited through its lawyer to forward to the same Region requests for reimbursement for paid and illegitimate fines, without forgetting compensation for damages. In the latter case it will be necessary to evaluate each situation, specifically who has done so seize the weapon of the hunter.
