The important work focused on the revision and updating of the LR Toscana 3/94 on hunting is going ahead. Yesterday, at the regional offices, the analysis of the text drawn up by the department following the proposals made in the last week, by various stakeholders. The main objective in this phase is to guarantee, following the examination of the competent commission, the definitive approval of the new law in the classroom by the deadline of next January. The text presented collects numerous indications elaborated by the technical-legislative structure of the CCT and supported by the contribution of the territories and all the confederate associations.
In particular, we would like to underline how some extremely important issues (planning, role of ATCs, subsidiarity of the hunting world and services, functions of public and private wildlife institutes in compliance with the percentages calculated at the provincial level, damage management fund, etc.), have been positively received. In the next few days, our contribution will continue to harmonize further aspects, without prejudice to the appreciation for the commitment demonstrated so far by the Department. Yesterday was also the focus of other news to highlight. The Regional Council, in parallel with the work of the table, approved the legislation on the containment of ungulates in urban areas, and on the strengthening of the role of the provincial police.
In addition to the interventions in the urban area, simplifications will be provided on the procedures regarding wildlife control, requested by farmers and aimed at the protection of agricultural production, through a computerized procedure headed by Artea, to ensure the effectiveness of the interventions. within 36 hours of the request. An important agenda signed by the Director PD Marco Niccolai was also approved to extend similar procedures also for the Collared Dove, Pigeon and Storno. Finally, the majority presented an amendment that is provoking heavy reactions, which allows the continuation of theinvestigation launched for the establishment and expansion of new hunting farms, hunting farms and dog training areas who had submitted a request prior to the entry into force of the Regional Regulation of 5 September 2017 - 48 / R.
In essence, it would be possible to continue the authorization process, although subject to the provisions of the individual Wildlife Plans still in force, for a part of private institutions compared to numerous other requests presented and currently not meeting the time limits set by the amendment. A choice, the one made, which in any case proves objectively out of the picture, both with respect to the overall work involved the aforementioned revision of law 3/94, and for the approval of the new Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan. In reconfirming our firm opposition to the activation of "excerpt procedures", an evaluation by the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters is currently underway on the number and overall area affected by the requests presented and on how many they may have. the conditions necessary to be accepted, taking into account the related environmental impact assessments required. The amendment in question contrasts with a basic point of the final document approved in the Regional Conference on Hunting; in fact, the document affirms the need to guarantee an organic transformation, establishment and reorganization of public and private wildlife institutes within a general planning of the territory and in compliance with the percentages established by the National Law 157/92.
