Implementation of the regional law
Yesterday, resolution 1184 of 24/10/22 was published concerning the new regulation for the implementation of Regional law on hunting.
Among the main aspects to underline we note:
a) - greater autonomy of the AA.TT.CC on the organization of the budget and resources
intended for organizational and wildlife management investments;
b) - rules and guidelines for the introduction of wildlife;
c) - establishment of a Verification and Control Commission on management results and objectives
reached for public and private wildlife institutes;
d) - Rules on the conduct of Boar Hunt in Hunt and reduction of the number
minimum number of participants enrolled in the team;
e) - ringing of live calls and fixed stalking;
f) - organization of the collection of Ungulates in the territory with Programmed Hunting, AFV and AAV.
g) - organization of the Selection Hunting for Cervidae Bovidae and Wild Boar;
h) - organization of the Qualification Courses and Examination Commission.
The negative effects of delay
These are important points for the performance of the hunting activity and for the management of the territory for environmental faunal purposes. The new regulation is also the result of a constructive confrontation with the department and the competent offices. However, we cannot fail to note the considerable delay with which this approval has been reached. A delay that risks generating further negative effects on some urgent and expected provisions that will only become operational starting from next February 1, 2023 and therefore with the future hunting season.
Hunted wild boar
We refer in particular to the regulation of hunted wild boar hunting and the reduction of the minimum number of participants in the hunt or other parts of the regulation that could have been waived and made immediately enforceable on the date of approval. Also on the management of Private Institutes (composition of the Commission for verification and control, role and competences on the objectives achieved, etc.) and on the management of ungulates in the AAVV, we note some limits with respect to the proposals we promptly put forward in the discussion tables. This act concludes a long phase of reform of the regional regulatory framework on hunting activities. The next objective today remains the approval of the new Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan. Also on this aspect we will not miss our contribution (source: Confederation of Tuscan Hunters).
