Provincial coordination CCT of Massa Carrara, represented by Fabrizio Basteri, Alberto Ratti and Carlo Romanelli met Gianni Lorenzetti, president of the Province of Massa Carrara. The theme of the meeting was the “Regulations on the temporary authorization for crossing the territory of Apuan Park with weapons for hunting purposes only ". This regulation - approved by the Park's Board of Directors and sent to the hunting associations on 12 April - is arousing a strong disappointment among hunters. In fact, this regulation, in addition to a long series of laborious formalities necessary to request the authorization, provides, annually, the preventive payment of a tax of 100 (one hundred) euros if it is a "hunting team" and 40 (forty) euros for each individual hunter who crosses the territory of the park with weapons for the purpose of a "non-collective hunting trip".
To justify the payment of this toll, which hunters residing within the Park will also be subject to, the regulation refers to article 123 of regional law 30/2015 (Rules for the conservation and enhancement of the regional environmental natural heritage). Well, it is enough to carefully read the text of the aforementioned article 123 to realize the interpretative forcing adopted to justify the unfair toll. It is also true that for carry hunting weapons along the stretches of road included in the territory of a national or regional park, authorization is required (established by the national law 394/91), but for the issue of this authorization, a heavy tax is not necessarily required, moreover, as expensive as the regulation of the Apuan Park requires.
Proof of this is the fact that the other parks existing in Tuscany (Maremma Regional Park, Tuscan-Emilian Apennine Park, Casentinesi Forest Park, Tuscan Archipelago Park, San Rossore Regional Park, Migliarino, Massaciuccoli) require the aforementioned authorization - which can be obtained by filling in and by submitting a simple form - but not for a fee. The delegation of the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters therefore exposed all these considerations to the President of the province of Massa Carrara. The Chairman Lorenzetti, having taken note of what was represented to him, immediately set it another appointment with the CCT delegation, an appointment at which the President of the Regional Park of the Apuan Alps will be present.
