Taken note with satisfaction of the adoption of resolution no. 918 - prot. 0182078-2018 - of 31 August 2018, with which the Regional Council clarifies resolution no. 628 of 11 June 2018 in the light of ordinance no. 120 of the Umbria Tar Sect. I of 25 July us, Umbrian hunting federation, also in refutation of the misleading and intimidating assertions made in the press by the regional WWF, capable of insinuating unjust concerns and doubts in those who were preparing to start the hunting season the 2 September, intends to reassure its associates and all hunters about it their legitimate right to carry out hunting activities already on Sunday with the exception of the hunting of ungulates which, due to the aforementioned order of the TAR Umbria, remains suspended at least until the decision of the Council of State, expected for next 6 September.
Considered that the Region has given timely and appropriate publicity of its resolution, we hope that the competent Authorities - already urged with unjustified alarmism to a surplus of checks by the regional leaders of the WWF - will be able to carry out the usual activity of control of hunting practices with the utmost serenity, without carrying out the claim and request, but unjustified "hunting to witches ".
At the same time, we recommend to all hunters to provide the utmost and usual collaboration with the law enforcement officers engaged in surveillance services, with the necessary invitation to all members, in the case of checks by the WWF voluntary sworn guards, to request them to show them in advance the appropriate "card certifying the legitimacy of the hunting control", always with a view to mutual respect and collaboration. In any case, Federcaccia Umbra declares itself ready to supply from now on maximum assistance to all those hunters subject to any harassment, reserving the right to take legal action against those who abuse their powers.
