La Confederation of Tuscan Hunters published the following press release: "The bill that provides for the amendment of the criminal code, together with other provisions, on the subject of animal protection. This proposal, signed and presented by M5S in the person of Massimo Petrilli, it is now being examined by the Senate and, if approved, it would make numerous changes also related to hunting and dog lovers in general. Once again it appears clear how the animal rights world, as opposed to the hunting one, is cohesive and organized.
This proposal, whose signatories are almost entirely belonging to the M5S, is supported and endorsed by all the major Italian animal rights acronyms, some of which, in recent months, also protagonists of numerous appeals to the Regional hunting calendars.
It goes without saying that if a provision like this became law, numerous problems relating to the hunting sector would materialize: from keeping animals for hunting purposes (live calls), the use of electronic devices and not for the training of dogs, even to a much more serious aspect inherent in hunting in general since, once again, the proposal to repeal theart. 842 of the civil code which regulates access to funds, the cornerstone of Italian social hunting.
The Italian hunting world must do everything in its power to bring the voice of thousands of honest hunters into Senate to counter this provision. For our part, the attention on the development of this situation is maximum and we will certainly not leave any action aimed at protecting the rights of Italian Hunters miles ”.
