A Concesio (province of Brescia) the meeting of the regional assembly of theANUUMigrators of Lombardy. There House of Associations hosted this event together with the interregional meeting of the associative leaders of Northern Italy: the topics to be discussed were really many, from the capture of live calls to the exceptions, passing through the wildlife-hunting plan of Lombardy, the regional hunting calendar and the various databases. The evaluations were aimed, in particular, at the relationship to be established with regional policy and the institutional reform that is still underway: the latter aspect has created a series of uncertainties as regards the further administrative and operational developments related to hunting and the agricultural sector. The assembly was more than dissatisfied with what concerns the work of the Lombardy Region in the last year.
One of the most heated criticisms had to do with the failure to open the facilities, the exceptions we no longer hear about e the passive acceptance of the early closure of the hunting season by the Council of Ministers (despite a calendar in force since 2004). Overall, then, the Lombardy wildlife hunting plan was shared in the terms in which it was imposed, apart from some critical issues relating to the alternative ammunition to lead ammunition and fixed positions.
Even the measures aimed at conserving some species that are considered in an unfavorable state of conservation, primarily due to the continuous proposal of limitations to hunting, forgetting at the same time the protection of their habitats. One of the main criticisms targeted ISPRA. The Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research has been "accused" of continually evading the tasks entrusted to the sector legislation, as has become evident from the failure to issue opinions requested by several parties and from the councils issued to Regions and Provinces, suggestions not requested but which then turned into real laws.
The debate was characterized by the presence of the various provincial presidents of the association, including Massimo Zanardelli (Brescia), Roberto Zanetti (Varese) and Massimo Colombo (Lecco), without forgetting the moderation of Massimo Marracci, chairman of the Executive Committee. The day ended with constructive reflections on the need for the hunting world to initiate a profound restructuring, otherwise it will not be able to survive and above all to achieve truly effective results at national level. A solid platform can be built from achievements in Liguria over the past six months.
Perhaps even the ANUU has realized that Law 157/92 and Law 26/93 of Lombardy, given the changes in the territory and the increase in some species (ungulates), these have to be radically changed, "IT WAS NOW" when a meeting of the National Wildlife-Wildlife Technical Committee
to at least begin to lay the foundations for a new law ????
