THEAquatic Migrant Hunters Association (ACMA), sectorial of Federcaccia, has disclosed the details of the ordinance of the Ministry of Health of last June 27. There have been no extensions as regards the planned measures until June 30. After the publication of the new European decision expected in July and which provides the preliminary information received, there should be no differences from the previous ones regarding theuse of live calls, a new waiver will need to be issued to allow the use of recalls.
In fact, the previous exceptions that allowed the use of live calls to date expired. ACMA requested and obtained a meeting with the Zooprophylactic Institute of the Venezie, the reference body in our country for what concerns avian flu, to discuss the matter. The sectoral association of the FIDC is also working through specific institutional channels in order to obtain the use of recalls throughout the national territory and in a better way than the previous exceptions.
Finally, it was recalled that the first derogation of 1 August 2008, periodically renewed, was revoked with the ordinance of 30 March 2017, while the derogation of 30 October 2017 which allowed the use of live calls in non-high-risk regions, expired on January 31, 2018, so for at least five months.
