Charles Pezzato, former number one ofAssociation of Trentino Hunters, was indicted on charges of abuse of office: the hearing will take place next November and concerns the failure to stamp the hunting card by an elderly hunter. During a hunting operation, the man was stopped by a gamekeeper who then notified the report. The document, however, remained on the desk of the same Piebald for almost two months (52 days to be precise).
The oddity was not explained, since checks were not needed, but rather a simple delivery to the Province for notification to the hunter within the following 90 days. The hunter was then able to cancel the report. The investigation had led to the resignation of the now former president, with the successor appointed only a few days ago. The committal for trial was motivated by the willful misconduct in the delay in the delivery of the report.
According to what was stated by the defense of Pezzato, on the contrary, the Province had 38 days to notify, therefore the problem would not have been there. In four months we will know more and find out how the investigations have progressed. Since last June the new guide of the Trentino Hunters Association is Stefano Ravelli.
