La Italian Society of Pro Hound "Luigi Zacchetti" (SIPS) has communicated that there is a new regulation regarding the zootechnical checks of the national derby for dogs followed on hares and wild boars. The derby aims to verify the natural qualities of the hound (not older than thirty months to be precise). The national derby will be played every year in spring with several consecutive days available: in addition, the final first 4-5 scores of the ranking.
The wild animals involved, as already mentioned, are hares and wild boars. All Italian and foreign hounds that are part of a Italian breeding and who are registered in the genealogical registers recognized by the Italian National Dog-loving Body (ENCI), without forgetting the possession of qualification booklet. Each hound will have the opportunity to take part in the derby only once in their life.
Judges will place emphasis above all on the natural qualities of young dogs, especially those that determine the specification "Competition note", and they will have to be tolerant and understanding as far as concerns are concerned the evaluation of dressage and fairness deficiencies.
