The rejection of the two bills on hunting in derogation and live calls in the roccoli by the Lombardy Regional Council continues to be discussed. Governor Fontana lashed out against ISPRA, accused of refusing to provide the necessary data. There Provincial Federcaccia of Bergamo he immediately expressed his thoughts. The disappointment is there and remains because the numbers in the majority seemed to be there. It was expected that the two bills could be discussed and voted on, but the majority has already fallen with the preliminary rulings of constitutionality posed by the opposition.
Through the words of President Lorenzo Bertacchi, Federcaccia shared the position taken by the Honorable Paolo Grimoldi, deputy of the Lega and secretary of the Lombard League, who recalls how after 12 years the problem of hunting in derogation in Lombardy has been re-proposed. Bertacchi then added: "Surely it remains a great disappointment, even if this outcome was certainly not to be excluded: we know very well that the instrument envisaged to legitimately adopt the exceptions, which concern both the removal of finch and brambling and the opening of the coils to capture the decoys, would be the instrument of the council resolution, but faced with the concrete difficulties of effectively resorting to the resolution, we hoped that the forcing supported by the proponents of the two bills could find acceptance.
Faced with such a large majority in the Regional Council and especially in front of the political connotations of the choice to present the two bills the idea that the derogations could be granted, at least that the opening of the capture plants passed, had really been cherished. The presentation of questions of prejudice was, however, the most dangerous and feared eventuality for the approval process, and unfortunately it was. We hope that today's outcome, which was followed by the words of Mr Grimoldi, will push the current majority that governs Lombardy to move also at the ministerial level, and that the Lombard Council will start planning the application of the derogation regimes with an administrative act as of now ”.
