La provincial section of Asti of the Italian Federation of Hunting organized the usual preparation course for the hunting qualification exam intended for aspiring hunters. This is an event that is repeated annually and which includes lessons divided into seven evenings, starting from the next 7 March at 20:30. The location chosen for the course is that of the Asti Federcaccia, to be precise in Via Nino Costa 1. This course is also essential for all those people who are willing to acquire the license for the practice of hunting. The various lessons, whose dates will be communicated later, will focus on the subjects of the qualification exam, therefore national and regional laws and regulations, zoology applied to hunting, environmental protection, the principles of safeguarding agricultural production, hunting weapons and their use and the main first aid rules.
The aspiring hunters have the opportunity to be admitted to take the exam to obtain the hunting qualification too in the six months prior to reaching the age of majority, as long as there is the possibility of effective exercise once they have come of age. Furthermore, it must be remembered that the hunter who has obtained the first license can only go hunting along with another hunter who has been licensed for at least three years and who has never committed violations.
Those who are not deemed suitable, on the contrary, will be able to repeat the qualification exam 120 days after the first exam. The course in Asti will focus on the three tests that must be passed in order to be licensed. Every single test is essential to understand what the candidate's level of preparation is and is also characterized by practical tests of recognition of the different species of wildlife. The three tests are the written quiz, the oral exam and the practical test.
Usually we are faced with thirty questions with closed answers, most of which related to hunting laws (national and regional in fact), as well as zoology, weapons and so on. The following two tests are admitted in the event of a maximum of four errors in legislation or two errors for zoology, two errors for weapons or three errors for the matter concerning the protection of nature. During the oral exam the same subjects listed above are addressed and in the event of a positive outcome, the chairman of the examining commission issues the certificate of qualification for hunting.
