La Provincial Federcaccia of Vicenza has decided to write to the Veneto region after the publication of the hunting calendar 2018-2019. President Emiliano Galvanetto he asked for some changes to the text, addressing directly to the Councilor for Agriculture, Giuseppe Pan. The changes should affect some species, specifically the fighter, the tufted duck, the wood pigeon, the red partridge and the lark.
The most heartfelt issue is precisely that relating to the lark, consequently the association has asked for an increase in the quantities that can be withdrawn, in order to meet the "specialists". The daily game bag is equal to 20 heads, while the annual one was set at a quota 50. For Federcaccia Vicenza it would be necessary to pass, respectively, to 20 and 100. The modification, then, would only involve the identified hunters. For fighter, brunette and wood pigeon, on the other hand, FIDC would like new dates.
For hunting the stalking fighter, the opening was requested on September 16 and closing on October 31, while for the brunette there could be a closing on January 31st instead of January 20th. The proposal for the wood pigeon, then, is that of the pre-opening hunt on 1st and 2nd September. In addition to the red partridge to be reintroduced as a huntable species, the provincial president intends to follow the model of other regions and drive out the starling, responsible for serious damage to crops such as in various areas of Italy.
