07.03.2011 - The 1st Grand Prix of Fossa Universale, which took place yesterday on the platforms of Tav Uboldo (VA), Montecosaro (MC) and Interdonato di Nizza di Sicilia (ME), marked a record of participation in events of this kind.
As many as 467, in fact, the shooters engaged on the northern, central and southern platforms who faced each other over a distance of 100 targets each (4 series of 25). Starting from the North, 236 people crowded the platforms of Tav Uboldo (VA).
In the Excellence sector, the Lombard Stefano Mariani imposed himself by winning the gold with 95/100, followed by the Venetian Robertino Tacchetta who to conquer the place of honor had to beat the Lombard Santo Plataroti at the shoot-off, also at an altitude of 92 / 100, +1 to +0. Two Venetians, on the other hand, won 1st and 2nd place in the ladies' ranking.
Nadia Righetti got gold around her neck with 91/100 while Francesca Sella won silver with 85. In third place the Lombard Sabrina Panzeri with 84. All-Ligurian podium in the Youth Sector. Enrico Moraglia climbed to the top step of the podium with 93/100 followed by Davide Meistro (87 +1) and Andrea Marcinnò (87 +0), second and third respectively.
In the other categories the golds went: for the 1st to the Venetian Giampaolo Micheletti with 95/100; for the 2nd to the Piedmontese Vito Ciro Campagna with 93/100 +2; for the 3rd to the Venetian Mirco Lucchini with 90/100; for the qualification of the Veterans to the Lombard Gildo Grondona with 95/100 and for that of the Masters to the Venetian Aurelio Tezze with 96/100. 124 instead met on the Marches slopes of Tav Montecosaro (MC).
Among the Excellencies, here the Marchesman Fausto Uguccioni imposed himself who after closing the race at 97/100, tied with his Lazio colleague Gianluca Muoio, beat him at the shoot-off with +5 to +4, deserving gold and leaving silver to Lazio. Bronze for Luigi Viscovo from Campania with 96 +3. Maria Carmela Petrella from Abruzzo climbed to the top step of the Ladies' podium with a total score of 81/100, trailing Emilian Paola Tattini, second with 6, by 75 points, and Daniela Marconi from Marche, third with 9 points. 72.
Among the Juniors, the Tuscan Renzo Baldinotti deserved gold with 93/100, followed by the Marches Nicola Adam Cingolani, silver with 83, and by the Tuscan Roberto Baldinotti, bronze with 80. For the 1st Category the best was the Lazio Angelo Primi with 93/100, for the 2nd Category the Marches Elio Salvador with 89/100 +2, for the 3rd Emilian Lanfranco Cappelli with 92, for the Veterans the Venetian Lionello Masiero with 95 and finally for the Masters the Marches Domenico Pulsoni with 86. Good participation also in the Tav Inerdonato of Nizza di Sicilia (ME) with 107 shooters lined up on the platform.
The podium of Excellence was occupied entirely by representatives of the host region. Paolo Putano climbed the first step of the podium with 97/100, followed by Pierluigi Sollami, second with 95, and Adriano Avveduto, third with 93 +3. Among the Ladies the best was the bell Ester Iannotti who won with a score of 87/100. Behind her the Sicilian Giovanna Cuzzocrea, silver with 81, and Romina Patanè, bronze with 73. All Sicilian also the podiums of the youth sector.
Piero Puleo won the gold with 93/100, while the silver and bronze went, respectively, to Riccardo Corsaro with 86 +5 and Raffaello Grassi with 86 +4.
As for the other categories and qualifications, the best were: Giorgio Cacciapaglia with 98/100 for the 1st category, Ciro Vuolo with 95 for the 2nd category, Tommaso Castronovo with 96 for the 3rd, Calogero Gibino with 93 +3 for that of Veterans and Teodoro Puccio with 90 for that of the Masters.
