FITAV: The round of meetings that President Rossi had begun by meeting friends from Sicily and Sardinia continues. This time he stopped at the TAV Pisa where he met the Tuscan managers of both the Territorial Organization and the Sports Associations.
Present were the Federal Councilor Luciano Innocenti, the Regional Delegate Mario Nencioni and his entire organization from the provincial delegates to the heads of the Youth Sector. Also present was an exceptional guest, the gold medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics, Andrea Benelli.
At the opening of the meeting, the Regional Delegate expressed his condolences for the death of President Virio Guelfi who had long led the Regional Committee of Tuscany, President Rossi joined in and called the recollection in memory of the late Virio.
The Regional Delegate then explained to Pres. Rossi the various problems of the Tuscan Shooting Fields after the latest atmospheric events. He concluded by thanking the President, and the Federal Council for the attention they have always shown towards the suburbs and congratulated for the excellent results obtained by our athletes at the London Olympics.
President Rossi examined the problems presented, made a broad overview of this last four-year period of the Federal Council and illustrated the decisions of the new sporting regulations discussed in the ISSF World Assembly in Acapulco (Mexico) where he was present as Vice President of the International Federation, underlining how much his intervention was decisive in reaching a final decision of the same.
All those present listened with great interest to the words of President Rossi and immediately afterwards a debate was opened on the issues dealt with and the new regulations, to the full satisfaction of the President's presentation.
At the end of the evening, the President received the thanks of all those present, and left to continue his tour towards Veneto.
