After that, with a purely ideological political blitz, the Scientific Institute had been removed from the supervision of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to be transferred to the "employees" of Ministry of the Environment, now the Agriculture Commission of the Chamber, chaired by the parliamentary elected in Umbria, Filippo Gallinella (M5s), rejected the amendment presented by the Honorable Giusy Occhionero (Free and equal) presented in the bill "Provisions for the fulfillment of the obligations deriving from Italy's membership of the European Union".
This historic and courageous stance - for which we sincerely thank the entire Commission - puts things back, so to speak, and the opinion of Ispra (the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) will not be binding on the formation of hunting calendars by the Regions. After years of doing good and especially bad weather (more often than not without having, however, the supply of up-to-date and incontrovertible studies), Ispra finally ceases to be the "scientific" crutch of political decisions taken on the basis of the usual ideological complaints that do not care about the opinions expressed by authoritative scientific bodies both national and international.
Now, without this bugbear that has always made time expand, it will be up to the Regions, after having elaborated a rigorous hunting plan, to develop hunting calendars that are respectful of the real faunal and environmental needs and, consequently, not able to offer usual tide of appeals to the various TARs by the usual anti-hunt acronyms.
