The twenty-year-old from Santa Rufina, Marco Tosti, an expert hunter, died this morning just before 10 am during a wild boar hunt, on the day of the opening of the hunting season, in an area between Santa Rufina and Cupaello. He had suffered a wound in his left lower abdomen, transferred by ambulance to the San Camillo De Lellis hospital where he underwent an emergency operation, but the doctors failed to save his life.
The dynamics on the occurrence are still being examined by the investigators. Carabinieri, firefighters and a 118 helicopter intervened on the spot, the latter did not intervene, since the young man was transferred by ambulance to the nearby hospital in Rieti.
