Hunting and dog lovers: first "Francesco Perotti" trophy, the Hunting Art shows off at the “Tenuta del Principe” in San Faustino d'Orvieto.
A perfect combination destined for great goals. With a judgment that leaves no room for comments it was Massimiliano Pantini together with his faithful companion Bacchus, a English setter of great movement and elegance, to win the first Francesco Perotti trophy which took place at the farm-hunting farm "La Tenuta del Principe", in San Faustino d'Orvieto. Many passionate about hunting and dog lovers got together to experience a day of great emotions. The seven teams present, each made up of three crews, fought under the watchful eyes of the judges Stefano Sfondalmondo, Ezio Bordoni and Claudio Mazzoli. In the end, Massimiliano Pantini from Terni won the match, with a score of 65.
Pantini himself, together with fellow adventurers Paolo Fussi (Terni, 55 points) and Sandro Bartoli (Ferentillo, 48) also won the team trophy, with 168 points overall, ahead of the trio made up of Mario Argenti (Terni, 63), Aleandro Gentileschi (Terni, 56) and Stefano Patrizi (Narni, 42), who finished at 161. Third place was the team, all from Narni, made up of Daniel Tramontana, Claudio Nucciarelli and Marco Mostocotto.
“It was an honor for us to host this important event - say the brothers Alessandro and Flavio Perotti, owners of the Borgo San Faustino relais - A splendid day spent in the best possible way respecting nature and a healthy passion for hunting. An opportunity to focus on a new way of approaching the hunting world, that is: passing from a form of activity that is viewed with suspicion to a form of activity that must be seen as a strengthening and consolidation of a tradition. Above all today we have the opportunity to underline an important fact that comes from an environmental result of high value. The choice to allocate a large part of the farm land to this agritourism-hunting activity has led to an environmental result of high value, so much so that it is being populated by many animal species of the native fauna ".
After the test and the technical reports of the judges, the participants were able to admire the wonders of the spaces surrounding the Relais, starting with the cave - theater of the toast before lunch - and the private park overlooking the structure, a perfect example of bioclimatic architecture. , which makes it an ideal place for both summer and winter. The sumptuous lunch took place right in the heart of the park, all based on zero-kilometer products from the Perotti farm, followed by interventions and awards. The provincial president of Federcaccia Terni Giulio Piccioni was visibly moved. “These - the words of Piccioni - are the true values of hunting: passion for the environment, respect for the wild and other hunters, sociability and a spirit of aggregation. Thanks to everyone: hosts, judges, competitors and organizers, for the wonderful day you made us experience ”.
Also present were the national vice-president of Federcaccia Massimo Buconi, who applauded the organizational machine of Federcaccia Terni, and the president of Federcaccia Umbra Franco Di Marco, who spoke about the next hunting season and the changes that Federcaccia will ask the future regional councilor for hunting in subject of calendar and regulations for wild boar hunting. Even the champion of Sant'Uberto Maria Fava, who expressed words of appreciation for the organization and the technical level of the competitors in the race.
