Hunting: Brescia, Lega Nord replies to the unacceptable attempts to discredit Brescia hunters by the animal rights activists of the Lac with accusations made through the local press.
With reference to the serious accusations made in the local press by the LAC (Lega Abolizione Caccia) against our Brescia hunters, we are to clarify that hunting in Lombardy is not illegal but is legitimately practiced, regulated and governed by regional, national and community, therefore those who practice it are conscious and in possession of a regular firearms license issued by the competent authorities which certify their physical and mental suitability and above all an unlawful criminal record. We consider it equally spurious, unreliable and disrespectful to the supervisory bodies which, with diligence and seriousness carry out their work, define that the controls carried out by the bodies in charge are scarce and powerless; I recall in this regard that in the Brescia area during the hunting period, in addition to the Provincial Police and the State Forestry Corps, the Anti-Poaching Operational Unit from Rome and hundreds of volunteer Hunting Guards operate; therefore the number of judicial police officers and public officials present in the area fully believe that they are far more than sufficient. It is clear to the reader that for an association like the LAC which has the sole intent and purpose of closing the Hunt, surely even the killing of a single pheasant or a rabbit may seem illegitimate and illegal and therefore try to impress the opinion. publishes with dated and composed footage.
Having said this, as Lega Nord we publicly ask all the competent authorities present in the area as well as the mayors to ensure that the controls announced by the LAC at Colle S. Zeno as well as any other disturbance and control action are treated in accordance with provincial regulation regarding the coordination of voluntary and legal hunting guards for actions to disrupt hunting activities (see Regional Law 26 / art. 51 paragraph 5 "The administrative sanction from € 206,58 to € 619,75 is applied for who voluntarily disturbs the hunting exercise also by making use of tools designed to remove the game; if the disturbing activity is committed by voluntary surveillance agents referred to in paragraph 5 of article 48, the penalty is doubled. ")
We also ask all hunters not to hesitate to report to the police forces also through their hunting associations in detailed and widespread form any actions that are considered illegitimate and illegal carried out by any "citizen" during the course of the hunting practice. The hunting activity, expression of rural culture and heritage of knowledge, uses, customs and economy of our territories will be defended by all means and as Northern League we will never accept other than ideology, distorted truths and false moralism on the part of citizens, metropolitan associations or legislators is questioned.
