Following the recent approval of Regional Hunting Calendar ofEmilia Romagna is preferably used for 2021-2022 season, the Provincial Section of the Federcaccia di Forlì-Cesena expresses its satisfaction for the work carried out by the Emilia Romagna Region: an articulated and constant work over time. We wish to thank: all the technical staff, the Department and the Regional Council who despite the difficult period due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has completed the process of approval of the Hunting Calendar, in the fruitful and constant dialogue between the observations proposed by Federcaccia, in turn related to the Agricultural Associations and from which it received support. In short, the main innovations in force for the next hunting season:
- free choice of the three hunting days in the month of January, in order to allow self-regulation of hunting times, consequently diluting the concentration of presences and increasing the hunting safety index;
- opening on 1 September of the wood pigeon hunt, abandoned and constantly increasing species, also in order to protect the agricultural crops;
- confirmed the end of the hunting period for woodcock on Wednesday 19st January;
- restored on Thursday August 19th the start of dog training activities;
It is also added that, despite the extension granted to hunters for the return of the hunting card on June 30th, over 90% of these had already been delivered, and the new ones, not yet available at the competent Offices, would have postponed the start of the Selection Hunt. To remedy this eventuality and allow the regular start of the aforementioned activity, whose start is set for April 15th, a provisional method for marking hunting outings in the Selection was also approved: the slaughtered wild boar heads must be recorded in a special form prepared by the Emilia Romagna Region (having the same contents as the hunting card), and then subsequently transcribing the exits made and the animals killed in the actual hunting card when it is collected in one's own Municipality of Residence. For everything that has been done, or for the constant updating of the state of progress of the work in which Federcaccia managers and associates have always been involved, we wish to thank the Regional Council of the Federcaccia Emilia Romagna and in particular our Regional President Massimo Bulbi.
