The Regional Council of Molise, with resolution 461/2012, issued the 2012/2013 hunting calendar, which prohibits access to its ATCs to all non-resident hunters, with the following motivation: pending the definition of the new wildlife planning- regional hunting which, among other things, will have to determine the agro-forestry-pastoral territory (TASP), to avoid excessive hunting pressure on the regional territory which is reduced due to numerous industrial settlements and production of electricity from renewable sources, for strengthen the hunter-territory bond established by article 14 of the state regulation on the subject, non-resident hunters are not allowed, for the current season, to pursue hunting activities in Molise, with the exception of the Wildlife Hunting Companies and Agri Turistico Venatorie. Thus creating, for the resident hunters, about a thousand, a region as a private reserve.
This hunting anomaly, exclusively Molise, had also occurred in the 2010/2011 hunting season, repealed by the Molise TAR which, with sentence 02/12/2010, required the region itself to immediately implement the hunting wildlife plan. Given the repetition of events, let's assume that the Molise Region has not understood the aforementioned sentence and continues to legislate as it pleases.
We feel disappointed, embittered and even discriminated against, we have a hunting license valid for the whole Italian territory but we have to pay the permit "always if they accept us" to enter Provinces and Regions in which we are not resident. Personally, every time I cross a hunting border, the florin scene in the film comes to mind, we just have to cry with Troisi and Benigni, very funny but ……… that was a movie.
With the hope that Associations or Federations will take charge of these problems and work, in the most appropriate places, so that the Italian hunter is no longer relegated to house arrest, but regains dignity and freedom.
We salute.
