Once again the ANUU Migratory Hunting Association pronounces itself against the choices of the Region in the completion of the Hunting Calendar; the regional president Bruno Zema replies to Hon. Trematerra and declares: "the hunting associations have been made fun of".
Below is the note released by the ANUU-Migratorists association: As regional president of the ANUU-Migratorists hunting association, I am obliged to thank the Councilor Hon. Le Trematerra for "the necessary clarifications" that he intended to bring to the hunting world with the release of day 2 cm.
Unfortunately, when I speak, it is my habit to be frank, sincere, loyal and not to hide behind any interests as happens to others who choose silence; this does not mean being incorrect, but quite the opposite: giving correct information and telling the truth, which you too shyly try to hide, from hunters citizens is certainly not an act of impropriety, but of transparency.
I affirm once again that the hunting associations and with them, all the Calabrian hunter citizens, have been made fun of and deceived by the ambiguous behavior of the leaders of the department of which you are political responsible.
Let's recap:
1) From the only meeting of the CFVR held in Catanzaro on 19/07/2011, after extensive discussion also with the environmentalist part, a hunting calendar that, for better or for worse, everyone agrees.
2) The managers of the sector, instead of the agreed hunting calendar, with an act that is to say the least incorrect, send ISPRA a completely different draft, changed as they wish.
3) ISPRA, a scientific body (now politicized) and full of contradictions, sends back the draft with the due opinions. (I REAFFIRM THAT ISPRA'S OPINIONS ARE NOT BINDING). The hunting sector officials abide by the letter, since at the time of sending the draft of the hunting calendar, they did not attach the justifications relating to the various huntable species, which should have accompanied the document.
4) When the managers of the sector came into possession of the opinion of ISPRA, they decided to elaborate the hunting calendar, without any convocation of the CFVR, but, what is serious, they kept everything hidden, until the day approval by the Regional Council. I wonder if this is the correctness and the spirit of collaboration to which you refer in your note: it honestly doesn't seem to me.
5) No one, and I stress no one, of those present at the meeting of the Council, has ever claimed to act while ignoring the law; quite the contrary, since the hunting associations, precisely in order not to incur the COMPLAINTS of environmental extremists, have accepted the proposals they put forward; The agreement reached was totally ignored, moreover, by inserting the STARNA in the hunting calendar, for which no request had been made as it was completely absent in the Calabrian territory, we were also mocked.
6) Law 157/92 art. 18 has not undergone any changes: a paragraph, 18bis, of little relevance has been added; the State-Regions Conference was a failure; hopefully something will change from 22 September, the date on which it will meet again.
7) With the calendar issued, there are many direct and indirect damages on the economic activities linked to hunting in Calabria: if you took a tour of the armories, you would take note of it. The strict observance of the laws - as you say - has seriously put the sector in difficulty.
It is right to observe the laws: this must apply not only to hunting but also to wildlife-hunting planning. The territory in which hunting is prohibited exceeds 37%, while the regional law n ° 96/9 art. 5 allocates a maximum share of 24% of the agro-forestry-pastoral territory for the protection of wildlife, including in it all areas where hunting is in any case prohibited, also due to other laws or provisions. As you can see, the laws are not always respected, or rather, they are respected at convenience.
8) To conclude if all the Regional Presidents of the hunting associations, with the exception of EPS, have resigned from the CFVR there must obviously be a reason: being responsible does not mean sharing everything and also being humiliated; being responsible means correcting the mistakes made, even in the course of work.
The choices are often dictated by political will, at other times by the interpretation of the various rules that regulate the sector: common sense should prevail over all common sense in compliance with the laws.
The regional president

Bruno Zema
