A new sentence that makes the hunting world discuss: a man turned to Lazio Regional Administrative Court after the decision of the Viterbo Police Headquarters not to renew his license for the port of rifle for hunting use. The reason? This person had been found in possession of two grams of hashish, reason considered valid for not considering it more reliable in terms of possession of weapons and ammunition.
The administrative judges embraced the thesis of the quaestor, rejecting the appeal and therefore confirming the no to the hunting license. The quantity of narcotic, in fact, was higher than the average daily dose which is required by law. As can be read in the ruling of the TAR, the administration that decides on weapons and safety enjoys wide discretion, given that the possession of guns and rifles is easily linked to various offenses.
The revocation of the license, therefore, it does not necessarily have to be linked to the abuse of weapons, but other crimes such as those involving drugs may suffice. The two grams of hashish, therefore, are a valid clue to not letting a person go hunting anymore.
