La Prosecutor of Bari he has just completed an investigation concerning the hunting office of the former province. The accusations made by the Guardia di Finanza are quite heavy, as it turned out how the money from hunting licenses was used in theTerritorial area of Bari hunting. The shares would be used to buy 1,7 million euro in bonds of Veneto Banca.
These bonds were very risky, so much so that they could have become waste paper. The investigation ended and involved 12 people, including the former president of the Apulian ATC, as well as a former regional councilor, appointed in turn by the Sector. The main charge is that of embezzlement against the state and concerns the former treasurer and two officials. Based on what was ascertained by the Yellow Flames, the purchase of the securities would have taken place towards the end of 2011, exploiting a part of the financial endowment of the Territorial Area, consisting of the shares paid by the hunters.
We are talking about 42 euros paid every year for the repopulation of the hunting areas, but used instead for 1600 ordinary bonds and expired in 2016. Veneto Banca was recently bailed out by the state: fortunately the investment was canceled in 2015 by the ATC commissioner, otherwise the consequences would have been even more serious.
