The ANUU Migrationists supports the initiative of the Coordination of FACE Italia on the exceptions in Lombardy and Veneto and invites the Regions to take a position at national and European level.
In Lombardy and Veneto the ANUUMigratoristi asks the Regions to support the initiative taken by the Coordination of the hunting associations belonging to FACE Italia (of which the ANUUMigratoristi is a part) and to take a formal position both at national and community level by claiming for our Country and for our regions the right to a correct, serene and impartial application of the Birds Directive as it happens in other EU states.
This happened with a letter signed by the regional Presidents Domenico Grandini (for Lombardy) and Giovanni Persona (for the Veneto) and signed in both cases also by the Head of Traditional Hunts of ANUU Migrationists Andrea Trenti, which was addressed to the Presidents of the Regions concerned, to the Regional Councilors and to all the Regional Councilors.
Grandini and Persona declared: "We wanted to give full support to the initiative taken at national level by the Coordination of FACE Italia because we also believe that the letter sent by Commissioner Poto? Nik to the Minister of the Environment Clini, airing possible community measures against of Italy relating to the application of the Birds Directive, represent conclusions that, although expressed in a personal capacity, are absolutely not acceptable and because we believe it is truly intolerable that these conclusions have been drawn only by hearing Italian representatives of some environmental NGOs, without any acquisition of further positions and above all without the necessary legal and technical checks ".
Andrea Trenti - National Head of Traditional Hunts of ANUU Migrators - added: “Is it paradoxical to note that while the Lombard-Venetian institutions were received by the technicians belonging to the European Environment Commission, the environmental NGOs had a meeting with Commissioner Poto? nik. This is an unacceptable and disrespectful situation towards regional legislators that cannot fall on deaf ears ”.
The ANUUMigrators, fully sharing the principles expressed by the Coordination of FACE Italia, believes that the resolution of the issue of the levy in derogation represents an institutional duty and, even in full compliance with the Community directives on the matter, must guarantee compliance with customs and regulations. traditions rooted in the territory that constitute a patrimony of social, cultural and economic values that the European Union must allow to enhance in Italy as well as in the rest of Europe.
