Arch Hunting reported a statement released by the PD Group in the Veneto Regional Council commenting on the substantial electoral funding passed from the coffers of the Hunting Association to that of the Political Party. Here is the text: “Associazione hunting spende 70mila euros to finance a political party: it probably does not need the money of the Region to carry out its activities. The case ofVenetian hunters association highlights all the contradictions of allocations from the budget of the Region and the rules on party financing.
Those who can afford € 70 in contributions to a party certainly do not need money from the Executive Committee for their activities ”. To say it are the regional councilors of the Democratic Party Andrea Zanoni, the parent company Stefano Fracasso, and Anna Maria Bigon, commenting on “the investigation of the weekly L'Espresso on the financiers of Fratelli d'Italia. Among these is the Associazione Cacciatori Veneti which allegedly paid 70 thousand euros to Giorgia Meloni's party. It is a lawful activity and we do not want to enter into the merits of it; on the other hand, we remain perplexed about the advisability of giving a contribution of 64 thousand euros, to stay in 2018, to those who in turn can afford to pay more than a political force.
I have repeatedly denounced the enormous amount of money to hunting associations, an over-represented lobby at Palazzo Ferro Fini - adds Zanoni - in times of lean cows there is always substance for them: 350 thousand euros in the 2018 budget and another 250 thousand in 2019 with the aim of providing information and prevention against poaching are an indecency. Resources that surely would have been useful for those who really fight this phenomenon in the field, such as environmental protection associations and wildlife which certainly do not have tens of thousands of euros available to finance political parties ”.
