A Certaldo, a municipality in the province of Florence, is about to return to traditional Wild Boar Festival, now in his twenty-seventh edition. There are twelve days dedicated to this well-established event, all in the month of April: it will begin on 7, 8 and 9, we will continue on 14, 15, 16 and 17 April and it will end the whole 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25. The headquarters will be that of the "Antonino Caponnetto" Multipurpose Municipal Center, with dinner served every day at 20 pm: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, on the other hand, will be characterized by the opening of food stands even at lunch (to be precise, starting at noon).
The menu is really rich, with wild boar that will obviously be the undisputed protagonist. Among the appetizers that can be tasted include mixed cold cuts of Tuscany and wild boar, as well as mixed croutons (white, black and polenta). As for the first courses, however, there will be fresh tortelli with wild boar sauce, pappardelle with wild boar, polenta with wild boar sauce, penne with tomato and penne with mushrooms.
With regard to the seconds, then, the choice will range between jugged wild boar with black olives, roast venison with potatoes, wild boar steak, cut with rocket, beef steak, pork steak, sausages and beans, bresaola with rocket and cheese, rostinciane and mixed skewer.
