The section of Pistoia ofArch Hunting has decided to write to the Territorial Area of Caccia 11 about the sedentary game. The hunting in question has always been a sore point, especially due to the lack of suitable territory and thehigh density of hunters that populates the Tuscan ATC. Furthermore, in recent years there has not been an organic strategy regarding the management of pheasants, partridges and red partridges.
Arci Caccia Pistoia underlined how the management was approximate, especially the spread of ready-to-hunt summer pheasants. There was no technical guidance and the district managers alone could not help but distribute the tapes, all without supervision. Consequentially, the pheasant project remained "maimed". The association asked for immediate action, in order to bring the situation back to acceptable levels, through a parallel management of hunting bans.
Another request is to nominate quickly a technician for sedentary game, capable of managing restocking areas and ZRVs. The points of entry should be reduced, at the same time realizing the appropriate structures of acclimatization. Finally, Arci Caccia called for incentives capable of bring hunters closer to volunteer activities, as happens in the hunting of ungulates.
