Now very little is missing fourth edition of Festival of the Boar of Pollina, Sicilian town in the province of Palermo. On April 8, therefore in two days, there will be many tasty opportunities with the possibility of visiting it splendid historical center and all its beauties. The gastronomic event was designed to raise awareness of the different recipes based on wild boar meat: in particular, there will be tastings of cuddurini, the classic fried and salty bread, a focaccia originally from the Lentini area that can be eaten by Aunt Maria in Via Ortolano.
There will also be room for the curd, ricotta, cheeses and sausages made available by Compare Giuliano (Via San Gaetano), without forgetting Donna Concetta's cooked wine (Via Archi). The taste shops and food and wine stands will open at 10:30, then an hour later it will be the turn of the show cooking with chefs Mauro Zito and “Jack” Giovanni Castiglia to St. Peter's Square.
At 13 pm, however, the most demanding palates will be satisfied by the typical specialties of the Wild Boar Festival, while at 14 pm the tasting of the head of turkish, the spoon dessert typical of Sicilian pastry made up of layers of blancmange and fried pastry.
