As has been the case for some years now, the municipal sections of Belforte del Chienti, Montefano, Montelupone, Tolentino e Petriolo of Italian Federation of Hunting they organized an environmental day on the occasion of the “Little Big Italy” festival. The associations of Macerata e Legambiente Marche involved schools and local administrations, placing boxes to allow insectivorous birds to nest and find a suitable home for oak trees, a true symbol of this landscape.
The children had the opportunity to learn more about the importance of great tit, redstart e blackcap for agriculture, since they feed on insects that are dangerous for crops. The information leaflets clearly illustrated the role of artificial nests and the participants themselves received a brochure onProtection Oasis of Monte Fietone, in Monte Cavallo municipal area. The oasis is famous for the nesting of the golden eagle, but there is no shortage of rock partridges, partridges and wolves.
Among other things, there are various nature trails that allow you to enjoy the oasis without disturbing the local fauna in any way. The goal was to make the boys have a good day, so as to remember it as a positive experience, without forgetting the importance of collaboration between hunters and environmentalists in protecting the environment.
